Campfire Bible Study

posted Jun 5, 2019, 6:45 AM by St. Thomas Church

This is a chance for us to discover, in a relaxed social environment around the campfire, how we are all affected and connected by the Bible. Saturday, June 29th at 6 p.m. at Kellett cabin (gps: W5506 Faro Springs Rd., Harrison, WI)

What we will do:

1) Each person pick a favorite or meaningful passage and put book, chapter, and verse      info only on a small sheet of paper (if you wish, be prepared to give a brief description           of its value to you.)

2) We will combine, mix and distribute one paper to each person; who will then read that   verse from their Bible.

3) After the reading we will all attempt to guess (questioning each other is allowed) who   chose this passage.

4) When the person and passage are connected, the person, if they wish, can give a short      explanation of its effect on them.

You might want to bring:

Bible, flashlight, beverage (non-alcoholic because this is church property), folding chair and mosquito repellant. We will provide fixings for s’mores so please register with the church office, so we can have enough to go around.
