Eucharistic Ministers
Eucharistic Ministers / Eucharistic Visitors

Eucharistic ministers distribute Communion to the congregation during St. Thomas worship services. They also bring Communion to the sick and shut-ins in the community. This special ministry exemplifies the vocation of a lay person. These ministers provide the presence of Christ, spiritual healing, and hope to the people. Eucharistic ministers, as lay persons, are among the first ministers to be recognized in the book of common prayer, which states that "ministers of the Church are lay persons, bishops, priests, and deacons" (BCP, p. 855). They are called to build their relationship with God through personal and group prayer and study as well as their own participation in the Eucharist. To inquire about becoming a Eucharistic Minister or Visitor call 920-725-5601.

Lectors read the Old Testament and New Testament lessons during Sunday Services and also lead the Psalm. Reading Scripture in public is an important part of our community worship. To inquire about becoming a Lector, call 920-725-5601.
