Of One Heart and Soul?

posted Apr 8, 2018, 1:11 PM by St. Thomas Church

Whatever you have is enough because it's never all that there is. Even when we don't have all that we need, it simply means the rest has to come from God, or others, or both. May we invite God's Spirit to open our eyes and see.

The People of the Resurrection

posted Apr 1, 2018, 4:32 PM by St. Thomas Church

Let us not be silent about the good and the extraordinary things that came of the resurrection. The danger is to start believing that the old and mundane are really all there is, unaware of how God is at work today. Look around you, the power of the resurrection is still at work in our world, and that love needs to be spread.

Left in a Cliffhanger

God never imposes in intrudes, God only proposes and invites.

Jesus' Nature Revealed

posted Mar 30, 2018, 6:56 PM by St. Thomas Church

The King offers us His hand on His way to the cross. Follow Jesus' path to death and you will receive life. Let go of your betrayals, violence, failures, and trust Him. He is the way.

Receive Agape

posted Mar 29, 2018, 8:18 PM by St. Thomas Church

Agape is love that the Creator has for the Son. Agape is the self-giving love that spoke and created the Heavens and the Earth. It is the liberating love that freed the slaves of Egypt and carried them through the wilderness. This is love that God creates in us because God desires all people to be loved.

How are we to trust those who betray us?

Dr. Strange Glorification

posted Mar 27, 2018, 6:25 PM by St. Thomas Church

Jesus is famous and glorified because He didn't make it about Himself. He made it about you and me, and He made it about God.

What's Really Important

posted Mar 26, 2018, 6:12 PM by Jake Pagel

We have a comfort in the status quo, even when it's not the best for us. We fear to put all those things aside and to let it just be Christ. We should try, maybe even for just a moment, to put everything aside and see what's really important.

Be 'Being Transformed'

posted Mar 18, 2018, 8:15 PM by St. Thomas Church

God is never done with us. God wants to bring us home out of the exile of our anxiety and into peace. He forgives our evil and forgets our sin. He transforms us from the inside out. Being transformed releases anxiety. Emptiness and isolation melt away. Always be trying to better yourself.

God's Love is Persistent

posted Mar 11, 2018, 4:56 PM by St. Thomas Church

When we take our eyes off God, we can get off our path very easily. Instead of looking at the light right in front of them, they choose darkness behind them. God gives us light and invites us to love that light. Keep looking forward. Keep the darkness behind you.
